Very good food, clean and pleasant atmosphere, attentive wait staff, reasonable prices.

I'd give 5 stars but service wasn't good. Food was AMAZING. But our waitress acted as if serving us was a hassle. Had to actually go find someone to get a refill. Just acted like everything was a chore. And when I asked for Heinz 57 she brought it in a little plastic cup which is fine but when I asked for some more she brought another cup and made sure to tell me that was the last of it so don't ask for more. But again food was GREAT.

Omg we were in the area but from Omaha so we didnt know of any places to eat. We googled home town food and country house popped up. Real food, friendly staff. If we are ever out your way again we will be stopping in to eat with Country House.

From the side of the road it appears as just a diner...but on the inside you find a beautiful restaurant with country flair. The portions are great and the prices are excellent. Not to mention the sandwiches and cabbage soup are awesome.

Loved the decor food was great and portions were very generous and price was not bad at all can't wait to go back

Best Pie Ever!

This was my first time visiting this establishment. The atmosphere was nice (decor), the food was very good, the staff were very kind and warm, yet professional! My ONLY issue (and I emphasize MY ISSUE) was that I was freezing the entire time. We had the misfortune of sitting right in front of an A/C vent! If you are get cold easily, make sure you get a spot where the air isn't right on you. Otherwise this place was excellent and we will definitely return!

Down home good 'ol comfort food. Great service from nice young ladies. Country fried steak is one of their best, not to mention the homemade cakes and pies!

Super liver and onions; if you are a fan of liver and onions. Have had a few family get togethers here with great outcomes. Food is always good.

Really good comfort food. Would have given 5 stars but service by anyone but Dawn simply SUCKS! They act put out and do not listen. Ppl walked out due to lack of service at lunch 2 weeks ago. It was not a good experience at all. If the food wasn’t so good we wouldn’t have went back, ever. However, glad we did. We were so impressed w Dawn’s service and caring attitude. She redeemed all our concerns and plan to only go at lunch time so we can sit in her section. ❤️Best waitress EVER!

Went to country house cafe yesterday evening. Sat there for 20 minutes with no service 5 other people came in was served before we were. When they finally got there they gave us our drinks and didn't return for almost 10 minutes. Needless to say we didn't stay very unhappy with the service that we had yesterday. We've been going there for many years never had a bath experience or badd dinner . After last night not sure that we will ever go back not sure that we will tell anybody else about it other than our experience

This is home cooking! I love the daily specials and the pie.

Great place to go for real home cooked meals and wonderful pies. The best chicken and noodles I have ever had! The green beans are also amazing. I go there often and I always leave full and usually with leftovers. Portion sizes are large and prices are reasonable.

Good food! They have really cut their hours down for the winter... Check prior to going to make sure they are open!!

Seemed like it was made from scratch food. good, unique takes for a home style restaurant. 90% of the food was great. Speghetti was average. Good service.

This is a great place when you are looking for high quality comfort food. I come here with my wife and daughter whenever we feel the need to just get out of the house. Check to make sure they are open before you go. They are not open everyday.

This is the best food around! We had the tenderloin/fries and the hot beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. The tenderloin was delicious and crinkle fries crispy😊 My husband said it was the best hot beef sandwich ever, the Roast beef was so tender! Generous portions and our waiter was so friendly. Will definitely be back.

Great place to eat! Love their holiday family-style meals on Mother's day and regular menu every day. If you plan to visit on a holiday, be sure to make reservations!

We had a delicious fried chicken dinner. The best. Enough left overs for a whole meal tomorrow and then some. Really like their foodThe service is the best.

Great food and service however one waiter will over charge you. The first time it happened I caught it right away but unfortunately the second time I wasn't on top of it . It cost me over $33 for one chicken noodle dinner and two pieces of pie. I went back in the next day to advise of my mishap. I wasn't expecting anything from them since it was going to be hard to prove. The waitress that was working took my name and number, I didn't so much as get a call from the owner. Not so sure I'll be doing business with them anymore.

I grew up in a country house. So I thought "heck I might as well move in and reignite my childhood endeavors" I was sorely disappointed that there were no beds to sleep in. When I tried to take a shower, there was only a sink and toilet, I mean I still showered but it wasn't as good. Toilet waters don't make for the best water when brushing your teeth but I can get over that aspect. Also people kept barging in when while I was in there trying to shave and shower Anyways, I wouldn't recommend this as a place if you're looking to move. Too many tables and chairs for my liking. Big kitchen and plenty of food though! I didn't even have to go grocery shopping. So not all bad!

Had supper there once. Very good comfort food. Here is the afternoon/evening menu.

Not good This visit. Fish was not fully cooked, green beans were cold. Salad and croutons were excellent. Bread is always good, but tonight we had to ask for our salad and bread. Went we left our table was full with our dirty dishes. I would suggest the use of butter and not margarine in all the cooking. Wanted their ribeye sandwich but they were out. Their ribeye is super good. But never sure if they have it or not.

Service was very good, food was terrific. Broasted chicken was fabulous. Save room for pie.

Poor service. Only one waiter, long wait to have table cleaned, waiter wiped table with a dirty rag. Three employees sat next to us, giving orders to the one WORKING employee. Food was good.

Back to Country House Restaurant today. I tried tthe "Award Winning" Tenderloin sandwich, it was pretty good! Crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside. Served on a hamburger bun to make it look huge, with the portion of fries, its not a bad deal. Comes with fries, or a bowl of soup, pickles and onions on the side. Lunch menu has a nice variety to choose from Tenderloin, fish, chicken (I believe), and hamburgers. If you come through Colo stop in on your way...

Very rustic and cozy cafe! I take my family there often and we love it! Food is very good! Definitely recommend!

Been there before and loved it went tonight and felt very awkward when we opened the door waitress was a mess needed a high chair for my 1yr old and buckle was broken and chair was filthy and sticky requested another which she kindly got and it had crumbs all over it and just plain gross and falling apart couldn't take it anymore and left went to Nilands for incredible food and service

Always a local favorite. Save room for pie. Good variety of daily specials, large portions, reasonable prices, and friendly service.
